Surrogates
Saudi Arabian doctor Khald Mohammedi Barrada (50) came to a
luxury hotel in Bakırköy, Istanbul, on Friday night. While waiting
on line at the reception desk, Barrada got into an argument with
Iranian (!) jeweler A.N. (27). The argument quickly turned into a
fight and the two were separated only with great difficulty.
At first, Barrada wanted to press charges and told hotel officials
to call the police. Later, Barrada decided against filing a complaint.
A.N. left the hotel and Barrada went outside to have a cigarette but
he collapsed in front of the hotel. He died en route to the hospital.
A.N., who claimed that he only pushed Barrada and did not harm
him otherwise, was released under judicial control, as the police
investigation continues.
