Another Trump Tower big-spender.
Sait Koç, the owner of the Datatek company, supposedly died in his
New York hotel room of a heart attack in 2012. Now the real facts
behind Koç's death have been brought to light in a New York court-
room.
Koç had an apartment in Trump Tower and an office in Rockefeller
Center. It turns out, though, that Koç died while under general
anesthesia for an esthetic operation at a clinic, to remove fat from his
neck (!), on 18 July 2012. Koç's relatives filed suit against his doctors
and at the conclusion of the 4-year trial, Judge Eileen Rakower
awarded Koç's family $3.3 million as compensation.
Koç's sibling Dinçer Koç (40), an academician at Istanbul University,
said in a statement to the New York court that because of Sait bey's
death the family lost at least $1 million in income each year. Sait bey,
a bachelor, spent between $300,000 and $2 million per month (!),
lived the high life and loved to give Hublot and Rolex watches as
presents. He also bought homes and summer places for everyone in
his family and paid the education expenses of his nieces and nephews.
According to Dinçer Koç, Sait bey left an office in Astoria Tower in
Istanbul, a villa and $3 million.
Sad!
