                         There goes the neighborhood...

In Erenköy, Kadıköy, Istanbul, İlhan Ünğan, sought as the instigator of
a murder, was rubbed out on fashionable Bağdat Avenue yesterday at
1630 hours, in front of his wife and son.  Ünğan was being sought by
police for involvement in the murder of the daughter and chauffeur of
Iranian drug kingpin Naji Sharifi Zindaşti in 2014.

As Ünğan left a café on Bağdat Avenue with his wife and son and
walked toward his car, he was fired upon from a car with foreign
license plates and died from two shots to the head.  After the
attackers fled, police took three people who had come to the area with
Ünğan into custody and two revolvers were seized from them.

Ünğan's brother Orhan is aleady in jail awaiting trial for the murder
of Zindaşti's daughter and chauffeur, but İlhan was on the lam.
