Symphony Number 40, First Movement "Allegro" is a crowd
pleaser.
In Bursa, Özgür Adıyaman (22) runs a chicken farm and he claims
that by having his chickens listen to Mozart's works he has increased
egg production by 10%. Adıyaman read an article about this wonder
and installed a sound system on his farm. He explained that "there
are 500 chickens here and after reading the article about music
increasing animal productivity we put in a sound sytem on day one."
"At first, the music startled the chickens but then they got used to it.,
We have them listen to Mozart for three hours, from 10 to 1 at night.
This makes them sleep better and they lay eggs more comfortably
in the morning. Right now our yield is 70%, with about 800 eggs
per day. For feed we just give them bread and meal leftovers so,
without commercial feed, our eggs are organic. Mozart's music
has made the chickens 10% more productive so they've become
famous as "Mozart's chickens"."
