Atilla Şentürk, the pilot of a Turkish Airlines (THY) flight from
Istanbul to Köln, Germany, recorded a flying object he saw
with his cellphone and declared that "I've never seen anything
fly so fast!"
On 10 May, Şentürk saw the flying object and put the video on
his social media account. He said that "I saw it from the cockpit's
left window and it flew across the entire horizon in 1 second.
Unbelievable speed. We saw this amazingly bright object at
high altitude on the flight to Köln, Germany. It wasn't a satellite
or a star. It then flew off at incredible speed and disappeared.
I saw such a thing for the first time in my life. It was very close
to us and, despite the sunlight, it was very bright. I have never
seen anything fly so fast. Cabin Crew Chief Efsun Selin Sezer
and First Officer Özgür Erdas witnessed the same thing."
Last February, captain-pilot Selahattin Sivri passed away. Sivri
had said that he saw a sharp white lights eminating from a giant
flying object during his Zurich-Ankara flight in 1989.
