'Bulut' will fly with the clouds ever more.
As always, Kurban Bayramı (Feast of Sacrifice) has taken
many lives on the roads. But in Bursa seat belts saved not
only the driver, but his lovebird, as well.
Lovebird's feathers unruffled, thanks to caring owner.
Sergeant Kadir Kaya, was on his way to Aksaray from his
army duty station at Keşan in Edirne province when he lost
control of his car on a wet spot at the Mezit tunnel location.
The car flipped over into a rain-water canal but Kaya
escaped without injury because he had his seat belt secured.
Kaya had also strapped in his pet lovebird 'Bulut' in a cage
next to him, saving the bird's life.
Kaya and 'Bulut' were en route from Edirne in NW Turkey
to Aksaray province in south-central Turkey. The mishap
occurred at Mevki Tunnel in Bursa.
