Poles Mercin Tomasz (37) and his wife Jolanta İrena
Flakiewicz (36) came to Marmaris district of Muğla
province a week ago from England for a vacation. On
Sunday the couple drank at their hotel's pool bar from
11 in the morning until 11 at night.
Under the influence of the alcohol, Flakiewicz undressed,
and fought with other tourists. The passed out Tomasz
awoke and beat two Russian tourists and then kicked the
police who arrived at the scene. The two Poles broke
the computer and fax machine at the Çarşı police station
before being deported.

Kaos (Chaos)
Linn Özcan, who lives in Antalya, took a vacation to Karlstad,
Sweden, last week to visit her family, bringing along her child
and her pitbull dog Kaos (Chaos). In Karlstad, Özcan took the
child and Kaos to the park but when Kaos bit another child
playing at the park police took the animal into custody to be
put to sleep.
Özcan appealed for help to animal-lovers in Sweden and when
news of the incident reached Turkey, members of the Animal
Rights Federation protested in front of the Swedish consulate
in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. Thousands of email were sent to the
Sweden, as well, to forestall the animal's death and the family
of the child Kaos bit in Karlstad were persuaded to retract
their complaint.
After the efforts of the animal-loers, the Swedish authorities
relented and spared Kaos. The day before yesterday Kaos
was reunited with Özcan.
