Working girl F.D.
Based on a tip, the Istanbul police vice squad examined two
separate internet sites that advertised escort girls. Police
determined that both sites were eminating from Moscow and
were linked to women traffickers there. Women from countries
like Russia, Ukraine and Moldova were being marketed on the
sites.
Police also determined that the sites were providing their
services to VIP customers in Turkey. The police were particularly
struck (!) by the fact that one of the names of the women meeting
with Turkish customers in 5-star hotels was that of Russian porno
star F.D. (25). According to the internet sites, F.D. meets with
customers in Ankara and Istanbul when she comes to Turkey, and
in Paris and Rome when she goes to Europe. There is a video on
one of the sites that shows F.D. in Ankara.
In addition to F.D., who gets 400 TL for 30 minutes of her services,
600 TL per hour and 1,000 TL for two hours (about 400 USD), a
young Ukrainian woman using the nickname Lara also caught the
attention of police (!!). Three policemen acting as customers called
the site's telephone number and put in an order for F.D. and two
other women. A Turkish speaker on the other end told the
'customers' that F.D. was shooting a film right now but could come
to Istanbul in two weeks.
The photographs of three women were sent to the 'customers' and
a reservation was made at a 5-star hotel. Each woman wanted 1,300
Euros for 24 hours. The police also called the second site and put
in a separate order for three more women. When the women arrived
at the hotels police raided them and took the six foreign women into
custody.
In their statements to police, the women explained that people in
Moscow handle the telephone orders and direct them where to go.
The women asserted that they did not feel that they were being
trafficked and that the money they earned went to a bank account
abroad. After processing (!!!), the women were expelled from
Turkey, as police continue to decipher the links in Turkey of these
international escort gangs.
Police work gets tougher all the time...
