A site that startled drivers on the highway...yesterday at
10 o'clock on Yeni Istanbul road in Konya, an automobile
without any windows, doors, seats or license plates was
moving along in traffic.
"What?"
Presumably, the car was being taken to an auto repair shop
by its driver, who was controlling the vehicle with one hand
while sitting on the side where the door once was. When
the driver noticed that passers by were taking his picture
with their cellphones he increased speed and fled the area.

When money burns a hole in your pocket.
In Selçuklu neighborhood of Ereğli district, Konya, a bank
official was taken into custody for starting a fire in the
basement of the bank building in order to conceal his
embezzlement. Firefighters put out the fire quickly and two
bank workers affected by the fire were taken to Ereğli State
Hospital.
After the fire, bank officers looked at security video and alerted
police to the suspicious behavior of Özgür V., a bank employee.
He was taken into custody and confessed that he embezzled
900,000 TL, (worth about 300,000 USD), 50,000 Euros and
50,000 USD. Özgür V. explained that he started the fire with
cologne to give the impression that the money he had stolen
had burned up.
