Victim, kidnap car, boyfriend Ali Ö., ex-wife İlknur P.
Mehmet Tüysüz of Trabzon, has not been heard from since he
left his house on 28 September 2017. The last person he spoke
with was cousin Adnan Tüysüz, to whom he said he would be
meeting with someone coming from Rize in Çömlekçi village
in Trabzon. Tüysüz's family told police that they suspect Tüysüz's
ex-wife and her boyfriend of foul play.
Police reviewed video footage from Çömlekçi village and
determined that Tüysüz had been kidnapped and taken away
in a car, which police later found far away in İzmit. The blood
stains discovered in the car were a match for samples given to
police by Tüysüz's parents.
Tüysüz's last known location was Lake Sera, in Trabzon, where
he had been taken, but police could not find his body at any of
the 7-8 spots they dug up. Before he disappeared, Tüysüz told
the Gendarmerie "if something happens to me, my ex-wife's
boyfriend will be the one to blame."
Tüysüz had wanted to take custody of his daughter because he
felt that the boyfriend, Ali Ö., was a bad influence and this caused
friction between the parties concerned. Consequently, police took
Ali Ö., who is wanted for a number of crimes, into custody in
Izmir, and brought him to Izmit, while ex-wife İlknur P. was
arrested in Trabzon. Both suspects denied charges of murder
and inciting murder. The person who drove the car in which
Tüysüz was kidnapped is being sought by police.
