Inmate's Goat Fetish Foiled

Inmate M.V. (47) in Sinop's Durağan low-security prison for fraud,
used the prison's pay phone to call D.K. (50), who markets animals in
Karayaka village of Tokat's Erbaa district.  M.V. told D.K. that he is
a doctor working in Erbaa and asked to buy 4 goats, saying he would
pay for the animals later.  The next day, M.V. said he wanted to buy
5 more goats from D.K.

D.K. delivered the nine goats to individuals who came to claim them
on behalf of M.V. but shortly afterwards D.K. realized he had been
scammed and informed the Gendarmerie.  The day before yesterday,
M.V. called D.K. again and wanted to buy 6 more goats. But when
G.E. (33), Ö.İ (31) and H.G. (29) came to pick up the goats at a
barn in Evyaba village, the Gendarmerie took them into custody.

D.K. then returned 5 of the goats to their owner in Niksar and the
other 4 to their owner in Erbaa's Akça village.
