Leaves behind three wives and ten kids.

Uzbek preacher Abdullah Buhari (38), one of the founders of
the Ihsan Ilmi Hizmetler and Yardimlasma (Benevolent Scholarly
Services and Assistance) Association, was assassinated in
Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, the day before yesterday. A Russian
citizen of Chechen origin, Zelimkhan M., was taken into custody.
Zelimkhan M. is said to have ties to the Russian secret service
FSB and has been arrested a number of times before for crimes
including entering Turkey on a false passport.

Police arrested Zelimkhan M. at a house in Kayasehir, Istanbul.
Upon seeing police at his doorstep, Zelimkhan M. disassembled
his Browning revolver and threw it out the window.  Police have
re-assembled the weapon and are testing it balistically. Gunpowder
was found on Zelimkhan M.'s clothing and he was identified by a
witness to the crime.

As for Buhari, he came to Turkey 12 years ago. His funeral was
held at Fatih Mosque where a huge crowd of radical Islamic
adherents gathered to bid him farewell. Among the mourners
were one of Buhari's three wives, Amine, and a daughter, Ayse,
one of his ten children.
