                     Uh, wrong runway...

In 2013 brothers Cemil and Cesur Çıtal, who live in Switzerland,
bought a disused Airbus A300-type airplane with the aim of
turning it into a restaurant.  Yesterday at around noon the aircraft
was towed out of Atatürk Airport in Istanbul in order to place it
at the restaurant site in the nearby World Trade Center, two
minutes distance away.

However, 'technical setbacks' left the plane stuck on the Airport-
Florya road, forcing the shutdown of the highway in both
directions for about two hours.  Ultimately, the aircraft was
towed to the World Trade Center site.

Şeref Aygün, CEO of the Cıtal brothers' firm, lamented that
"as the company chief I'm very upset. People trying to catch
their planes have been inconvenienced. This is a delay never
seen before. The transport firm bears all responsibility."

If you can't, land the plane.

A problem with the toilet aboard an Air India flight prompted
the plane's pilot to land at Atatürk Airport this morning. The
aircraft was en route from New York to Mumbai when the lavatory
issue arose. The plane touched down in Istanbul at about 1030 this
morning and after the necessary repairs to the toilet the plane
took off for Mumbai at 1255 hours.
