"You're Covered!" - Allstate (Turkey)'s newest ad campaign.
In Ankara province, Ali Pekyürek was driving along the Karaşar-
Kıbrıscık road at 0450 in the morning when he noticed a mother bear
and her 3 cubs crossing the road. Pekyürek stopped his car to let the
bear family pass safely but the mother bear, as a reflex to protect her
cubs, attacked Pekyürek's car. (!)
The car sustained damage to the right front, front hood and front
grill and Pekyürek stepped on the gas and fled in panic. When he
reached the district center Pekyürek saw the extent of the damage
and went to the local Gendarmerie post, where he explained that
"I suffered a bear attack on the road and my car is heavily damaged.
I want a report to be written up."
Pekyürek took the Gendarmerie report to his insurance company,
which agreed to cover the cost of repairing the damage.
